Our Approach to Early Years Education
At Humpty Dumpty Nursery, we hold the conviction that active engagement is key to children's learning. Thus, our early education approach is crafted to be hands-on. We provide a mix of guided and free-form play, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring small class sizes for personalized attention.
During the day, children engage in a blend of structured activities led by adults and free time to explore their own ideas and initiatives in a safe environment. Our educators facilitate learning by observing play, posing open-ended questions to stimulate thought, and aiding in the evolution of their play. These interactions form the basis of observational assessments that are in line with developmental benchmarks.
Assessment and Progression
At the year's end, we compile a detailed report for Foundation Stage 1, evaluating each child's progress against the Early Years Goals, based on observational evidence collected over the year.
